About Boudoir
Boudoir photography is a powerful and artistic way to celebrate yourself. It's a style of intimate portrait photography that captures your confidence, beauty, and personality in a tasteful, empowering, and often sensual way.
Whether you're wearing lingerie, a favorite outfit, or nothing at all, the focus of boudoir is never just about what you wear—it's about how you feel. These sessions are about embracing your body, owning your confidence, and capturing the essence of you in a safe, professional, and respectful environment.

What to expect
A boudoir shoot is more than just a photo session—it's an experience designed to make you feel confident, beautiful, and empowered. At Littleton Photography, we aim to create a relaxed, professional, and fun environment where you feel completely at ease in front of the camera. Whether you're booking your first boudoir session or you're familiar in front of the camera, here's exactly what you can expect from start to finish.

Planning for the Big Day
Preparation is key to getting the most out of your boudoir session. Here are a few important tips to help you get ready:
-
Hydrate! Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your session. Hydrated skin photographs better and has a healthy, radiant glow.
-
Avoid Alcohol the day before your shoot. Alcohol can cause puffiness and bloating, which may affect how you feel in your photos.
-
Rest Well. A good night's sleep will help you feel energized and look your best.
-
Grooming. Please have your nails done and shave or wax all the appropriate areas based on your comfort and outfit choices.
-
Outfit Planning. Bring a selection of lingerie or outfits that make you feel sexy and confident. Consider bringing 2–4 options per hour of your session time, including different styles and colors. Barefoot is always beautiful, you may want to bring a pair of heels or boot also though.
-
Props Welcome! If you have a special item like a partner's shirt, a piece of jewelry, glasses or a favorite book or accessory, bring it along! These personal touches can make your session more unique and meaningful.

Day of Your Shoot
When the big day arrives, here’s how to make the most of your session:
-
Hair and Makeup: Please arrive with your hair and makeup fully done unless you've arranged otherwise. Your look should make you feel powerful, feminine, and comfortable.
-
Clothing Upon Arrival: Wear loose-fitting clothes to the studio. Avoid bras, tight panties, or socks that can leave marks on your skin—these can take hours to fade.
-
Punctuality: Please arrive on time for your session. This ensures we have plenty of time to go over outfits, ideas, and prepare without rushing.
-
Review and Planning: When you arrive, we’ll take a few moments to review your outfits and any props. Together, we’ll create a plan for your session.
-
Private Changing Area: Your photographer, Tom, will show you to the changing room and give you complete privacy to get ready.
-
For your comfort if you feel you need a friend or partner with you, you are welcome to bring someone with you. However, we kindly ask they wait somewhere away from the shooting area to avoid distractions. Or consider having a doubles or couples shoot to create an exciting memorable experience.n *Extra charges will apply.
During Your Session
This is where the magic happens—and we make sure it’s a comfortable, empowering experience.
-
Posing Guidance: Don’t worry if you’re not sure how to pose! Tom will guide you gently through each pose to ensure the most flattering angles. If you're nervous—it's totally normal—but you'll find your confidence growing as we go.
-
Professional and Respectful: Tom maintains the highest level of professionalism and will never invade your personal space. All posing direction is given respectfully and verbally or through demonstration.
-
Collaborative Experience: Have ideas or want to try something specific? Speak up! Your input is always welcome, and we’re here to bring your vision to life.
-
Fun, Bold, Empowering: Most of all, your session should be fun and leave you feeling bold, confident, and radiant.
